Do you adore the Coastal Breezy, Tropical Island, Beach, British Colonial Plantation, Caribbean, West Indies, and Key West style? Island Home Design is an interactive resource website, where you can find inspiration, information, and conversation as well as a stunning new house design that may start you on your journey to living your dream. Our goal is to update photos and links located in our  “Island Essence” and “Check This Out” tabs, while keeping you connected with others in our “Project Blog.” So come on in…Kick off your shoes and have that cabana boy bring you your favorite drink, ’cause we’ve only just begun and with your input it’s going to be great!

The Bahama Breeze is a European influenced, sophisticated and timeless island home design. Its inspiration was taken from the casually elegant resorts of the Caribbean. It has wonderful curb appeal, employs spectacular view potential and keeps contemporary livability in mind.

The beautiful front entrance with its mahogany double doors and gas lantern set the stage for the Wow Factor. As you enter the grand staircase Foyer you are greeted with the openness and expanse of the Grand Room with its 12’ wood beamed ceiling. It is here that you and your guests will be captivated by the 10’ X 18’ French style pocketing doors that disappear into the walls, framing the view, bringing it right into your home. Motorized remote control hide away screens can be lowered here and on the veranda for bug free, fresh air living. The Grand Room includes the Living Room, Hearth Room with large fireplace, Wet bar with built in beverage center, Formal open Dining Room and Entertainment style Kitchen with island seating and prep sink. The kitchen has a pass through window and counter area for outdoor pool service. The house was designed to maximize your view potential from “every” room. There are front and rear balconies as well. A residential elevator accesses the 1st floor, bonus room level and the Master suite. Not only is that functional, it is a conversation piece. The Master Suite showcases a large wall of windows with storage window seat, a cozy dual sided fireplace into the Master Bath, a sitting TV area, a special wood beamed vaulted ceiling and a large walk in closet. The Master Bath features a spa tub with fireplace and TV, fabulous built in double sink vanity, and separate shower and toilet areas. A connected room in the Master Suite houses a stackable laundry and morning kitchen which can be used as a Home Gym, Office or Baby Nursery. The huge bonus room/bath level can be added for a theater, game room, extra bedroom, guest suite, etc. This mini- mansion was designed to fit on a smaller size lot. The 2 car garage has a 3 car lift option. There are two totally enclosed attics and an air- conditioned gear storage room located inside the house with outside access.

This home is full of special features that make it extraordinary. I invite you to take a moment to immerse yourself in the details. I hope you find it to be perfect, however keep in mind it may be also modified to fit your specific needs. I hope this website will be your inspirational resource as you embark on your journey. Don’t forget to join our Project Blog so you can discuss your project, give and get advice and opinions and exchange great ideas. All who are interested in coastal design are welcome. I look forward to meeting you there.
